About AStar Training and Recruitment

AStar Training and Recruitment was established by Gill and Adam Holden, Directors of AStar Homecare Services.

When it comes to Training in the Health and Social Care sector, they felt that this was the foundation of the service they offered and therefore only the very best would do.

Sourcing an accredited, high quality service, proved difficult and very expensive. They therefore made the decision to establish AStar Training & Recruitment to allow both their own Company, and others like it, to have access to quality training at affordable levels without compromise thus helping to raise the bar in the Care Sector.

Here at AStar, we are passionate about care. We pride ourselves on high quality training and support.  We offer several, accredited courses to enable people to develop crucial skills that turn dreams into reality.

Care Quality Commission

Although not mandatory, it is expected by the Care Quality Commission that new members of staff entering the care sector achieve the competency underlined within the Care Certificate. Which is a replacement for the Common Induction Standards and National Minimum Training Standards.  Although the Care Certificate takes, on average, 12 weeks to complete, depending on varying circumstances, we offer an induction course over a week that covers all 15 standards underlined by Health Education England and Skills for Care.
